A CAREER OUTCOMES PLATFORM

Your career deserves a team. Now you can have one.

Three specialists who help you find direction, prep the work, and keep the rhythm. The long arc of your career and the next move you're making, both at once. Built on behavior science.

Built on research · Designed for action · Your data stays yours

A weathered desk in warm light, with a folded amber map, a sage seedling in a terracotta pot, and an opened handwritten letter beside an open notebook and a mug. The visible traces of a team that has been working.

THE GAP

The work that would move your career has no deadline, no manager, and no one chasing you for it.

  1. (i)

    The work waits.

Hiring decisions get committees. Product launches get teams. Your career, the longest thread you'll ever run, gets you alone with a notes app at midnight.

  2. (ii)

Good intentions don't survive the week.

You read the article. You meant to draft the message. The week happens. By Friday the intention is gone, and the same questions return on Sunday.

  3. (iii)

Generic AI doesn't know your story.

It can write a cover letter. It cannot tell you which conversation to have next, or notice the pattern that's been quietly forming across the last three weeks.

HOW PURSU WORKS

Three specialists, working with you in sessions and on your behalf between them.

The team is the mechanism. Behavior science is the method. Career outcomes are the destination. Each specialist coaches you in conversation and prepares the work that compounds across sessions.

NAVIGATOR

Direction & strategy.

Your primary specialist. Helps you name what you're after, surface the obstacle alongside the wish, and decide what the team works on next. Watches for patterns across your story and coordinates the rest of the team.

A single sage seedling in a terracotta pot on weathered cream wood. Capability cultivated patiently.
COACH

Skill-building & practice.

Builds the capability the move asks for. Maps the gap between where you are and the move you're making, drafts the specific steps that close the gap, and keeps the work small enough to actually do.

A handwritten letter mid-fold beside an envelope on weathered cream wood. Considered outreach, the slow message.
CONNECTOR

Networking & positioning.

Tracks the people in your story. Drafts the outreach, the follow-up, the message you keep meaning to send. Surfaces the relationships most likely to move your career, not just the closest ones.

In sessions.

Focused conversations with one of the three specialists. Frame the goal, name the obstacle, draft the next move, rehearse the conversation before you have it.

Between sessions.

Daily Career Briefs prepared overnight. Weekly reviews that surface patterns. Drafted messages, research briefs, and pattern observations ready when you sit down.

One career story.

The team works from a shared notebook that compounds across the months and years. Today's prep shapes tomorrow's. The long arc holds; the work adds up.

THIS IS A CAREER BRIEF

Your team prepared these while you were away.

Each morning your team prepares a Career Brief: small, specific work products to act on. A drafted message. A pattern named. A skills comparison. You skim. You decide. You move.

A watercolor of a drafted outreach message on cream paper, opening 'Hi Sarah, I noticed you led the Stripe API expansion last year. I'm exploring...' A purple envelope edge is tucked behind.
A watercolor of a small note reading 'Outreach stalled three weeks running. Tuesday afternoon is your highest-friction slot.' with a small hand-drawn line graph and calendar fragment beneath.
A watercolor of a skills checklist: Product strategy, Stakeholder communication, and Roadmapping marked with sage-green checks; API design and Hiring and leveling marked as gaps.

This is a sample. Your Career Brief is personalized to your actual situation, varies in size based on what your team has prepared, and is designed to take five minutes to review.

HONEST COMPARISON

Honest about what we are and what we are not.

A career coach is a person. ChatGPT is a tool. BetterUp is a marketplace of coaches. Pursu is a career outcomes platform: a team of three specialists that helps you find direction, builds the moves to get there, researches your situation, and holds you accountable along the way.

This isn't a replacement for any of those. It's a different category, built around your career outcomes, available when you need it, working when you don't.

WHY THIS WORKS

Built on research, not advice.

Pursu's coaching and prep aren't built on intuition. The way your team helps you frame a goal, the way they prepare your brief, the way they coach you when you sit down: all of it comes from decades of research on why people stall and what actually moves them.

WHEN, WHERE, AND HOW

Specific beats generic.

Specifying when, where, and how you'll act roughly doubles follow-through compared to a generic intention. Every Pursu next-step is written as a specific plan. Your Coach drafts them with you in conversation, then keeps them visible until you act.

THE WISH AND THE OBSTACLE

The obstacle alongside the wish.

Pure positive visualization actually reduces goal-directed action. Naming the obstacle alongside the wish, with a real plan to handle it, is what makes the difference. Pursu's planning method, in conversation and on your behalf, surfaces the obstacle every time.

WHY SPECIALISTS, NOT A GENERALIST

Specialization is mechanism, not marketing.

The relationships most likely to move your career are often weaker connections, not your closest ones. The Connector is built around that finding. The Coach is built around what makes practice deliberate enough to compound. Specialization isn't branding. It's how the work gets done.

BUILT BY

Twenty years building career AI at Microsoft. Now building the team I wished existed.

Career development isn't just finding your next job. It's managing your whole professional journey with clarity and purpose, and most professionals are doing it alone. That's why I built Pursu: a team of three specialists, grounded in behavior science, who help you find direction, prep the work, and keep the rhythm. A team that's there for the long arc and the next move, ready when you are.

Built in Toronto, working to make a real career team accessible to professionals everywhere.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

The real questions people ask.

What does a session actually look like?
A session is a focused conversation with one of the three specialists, usually fifteen to forty minutes. You sit down, name what you're working on, and the specialist helps you frame the goal, name the obstacle, and draft the next specific step. The Career Brief from that morning gives you something concrete to work with, so you're not starting from a blank page.
How is Pursu different from ChatGPT or a human coach?
A human coach offers a depth of relationship Pursu doesn't substitute for, and many users will use both. Generic AI can write a cover letter in one chat, but it cannot tell you which conversation to have next or notice the pattern forming across the last three weeks. Pursu is a different category: a team that knows your career story, prepares work between sessions, and keeps the rhythm going. The team remembers. The work compounds. The prep happens whether or not you sit down to ask.
What happens to my data?
Your career story stays yours. We don't sell your data, train external models on it, or share it with employers or recruiters. You can export everything or delete it whenever you want. Encryption in transit and at rest is the floor, not the feature.
What if I don't have a clear career goal yet?
That's most people. Navigator's first job is helping you name what you're after, even if the answer starts as "I'm not sure, but it's not this." The team works with the shape of your real situation, not an idealized version of it.
What happens if I bring up something hard or sensitive?
Pursu specialists are trained for career conversations, not crisis support. If something comes up that needs licensed care, therapy, medical, or legal, the team will say so directly and point you to qualified resources. The career work doesn't pause. The line gets drawn where it should be.
What if I miss days or weeks?
The team holds the context. When you come back, the Career Brief is waiting and the notebook still knows where you left off. No starting over, no shame, no apologies. Career work is uneven by nature. The team is built for that.
When does the beta open and what does it cost?
Beta opens spring 2026 in waves. Pricing during beta is $49 per month, locked for the first year for everyone who signs up before launch. You can cancel any time.
An open notebook on weathered wood, hand-drawn squiggles forming a question, a half-drunk mug at the edge. The question quietly there, waiting to be asked.
